THE CURSE OF THE LAW
In the Old Covenant, Deuteronomy 27-28, addresses the "Curse of the Law" that refers to the consequences that would befall the children of Israel if they disobeyed God's commandments. The Curse includes various physical plagues, bodily and on the land, along with defeat by enemies. On the other hand, obedience to the Law would bring blessings, such as prosperity, health, and victory over enemies.
The Curse of the Law was directly linked to the failure to adhere to the laws given by God. The Curse of the Law encompassed a wide range of negative outcomes, including sicknesses like boils and fevers, crop failures, and defeat in battle.
In direct contrast to the New Covenant; the blessings and curses are NOT part of the covenant relationship between God and the born again believers, highlighting that Christ received the just punishment for our sins.
THE REDEMPTION THROUGH CHRIST THAT REDEMPTIONCORPS INTERNATIONAL PREACHES:
The "Curse of the Law" in Galatians 3, declares the revelation that Christ redeemed believers from the Curse by becoming a Curse even declaring that Christ became sin for us who believe in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. This Redemption through Christ's sacrifice is everything in Christian theology, which the Word of Faith is founded on.
Paul quotes Deuteronomy 27:26, establishing the New Testament revelation that those who rely on works (Their own righteous deeds) of the law are under the Curse. This, is yet another reason we preach, teach and proclaim to the whole world to be reconciled to God through repentance from dead works to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the work He did on the Cross.
Galatians 3:13 declares that Christ has redeemed us from the Curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us. This means that Christ took upon Himself the punishment that all mankind deserved, thus redeeming those who believe from the Curse of the law and ultimately the Curse of the Fall through faith in Him.
Jesus's sacrifice is seen as fulfilling the Law, including the curse associated with disobedience to it. However, we must walk according to the Spirit and not after the dictates of our flesh to enjoy this Redemption through His Blood.
